Establishing And Developing A Self-Practice

A wide variety of modern Yoga forms (Vinyasa, Flow, Power, Dynamic) have common roots in ASHTANGA VINYASA. An invigorating practice promoting strength, flexibility, balance and cardiovascular endurance, while embracing the qualities of serenity and calmness. This is accomplished by emphasizing attention on the breath and cultivating its constant smoothness and depth in any of the many kinds of situations provided by the asanas in the sequence.

This course is based on a subset of the Yoga Chikitsa (Yoga Therapy/Primary Series) sequence of Ashtanga Vinyasa providing the elements to establish a self-practice.

According to individual conditions and preferences there are two purposes served by this course through subsequent attendance to ASHTANGA VINYASA sessions. A solid foundation on which to construct an evolving individualised sequence under the close collaboration with the instructor or to gradually advance along the Ashtanga Vinyasa Series. It is also a suitable introduction to any other form of Yoga.
